Job Description
We are looking for a passionate jr fabricator who’s excited to make new things in new ways and cares about quality and craft. Responsibilities include general assisting in the workshop, sanding & finishing parts, assembling custom fabrications, and maintaining our awesome machines and shop space and being trained on the CNC. We are willing to train the right person on the various technologies, but need to have had some exposure to digital fabrication, working online, and/or a quick learner.

Responsibilities:
● Cleaning up parts & assembling completed custom fabrications.
● Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
● Following shop safety standards and company operations.
Required Skills:
● Experience in woodworking, or equivalent required.
● Demonstrated interest in CNC routing and digital fabrication.
● Attention to detail, organized, team player, and self motivated.
● Comfortable working with online for scheduling, task management, product info, email, chatting, etc.
● Comfortable working in a dynamic, creative, and friendly team environment.

Key Things To Do Today:

Your Docs and Stuff:
  1. Think about what you have on your MetroEd Google Drive
  2. How are you going to get access after you loose your @metroed email?
  3. Copy stuff you want to your personal Google drive, or download to a USB drive

  1.  Check with me that you have your Arduino, Bread board , Raspberry Pi, SD card and Safety glasses checked in
  2. Sort out all the jumper wires in your box
  3. Check all LEDs and put good ones in my bin, throw away all bad ones
  4. Sort any resistors, and put them in the right drawer... Use color code AND DMM to test them
  5. Any stuff you think I will want back, like Motors and stuff , bring it over... I'll tell you...
  6. Keep or recycle every thing else...
  7. Give me back an empty bin - Leave your name on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Key Things To Do Today:
